A safety week has a fixed window and a fixed student body, which makes it a throughput problem before it is anything else.
Most safety weeks fail quietly the same way: a good activity that only forty students actually experienced, while the rest saw a poster.
So the format changes. Short sessions, several simulators, staff managing the queue, and a single clear message rather than a curriculum. The aim is that most of the year group actually drives rather than a lucky subset.
Please note: Academy Sim Racing does not currently have simulators installed in Florida school districts. The programs described here are services Academy offers and can deploy. Any reference to a district on this site describes an area we can serve, not an existing installation or partnership.
What Academy is, and is not. Academy Sim Racing supplies racing and driving simulators and runs staffed programs with them. We are not a licensed driving school and we do not employ state-certified driver education instructors. Nothing we provide counts toward Florida licensing requirements, the supervised driving hours a learner must complete, or any state-required driver education course. Districts and schools should deliver those through their own certified staff or an appropriately licensed provider. What we offer is supplementary practice and hazard exposure alongside them.
Several simulators running continuously through the school day.
Fewer simulators over more days, which suits schools that cannot free a whole day of scheduling.
A short whole-group session to frame it, then simulator time in rotation.
Year group size and the hours genuinely available, not the optimistic version. It is the only way to size this correctly.
Getting students to the simulators in an orderly rotation is usually harder than running the simulators. Involve whoever builds the schedule early.
A gym or cafeteria works best for high throughput, because there is room for both the equipment and the queue. We need mains power at the setup point.
